Record Videos
Recording videos in PicsArt Video is pretty easy. You have a total of fifteen seconds, and you can maximize the time by recording a video in one go, or have multiple short video clips!
- Record videos in “normal” speed, “lapse” (time-lapse) or “burst” (slow motion)!
- For days when you feel like preparing a square video that’s perfect for Instagram, just tap the resize button!
- Press and hold the Record button.
- You may also choose clips from your media library.
- After each recording, the timeline of your video clips will show up as pink bars at the top of your screen.
- You may replay the video by tapping the Preview button.
- Want to remove a clip? Just tap the Delete button!
- When you’re done recording, tap the Next button.
- You may use all of the given fifteen seconds, or just proceed to edit a shorter video.
Edit your Video
Is your video ready now? Time to edit it! PicsArt Video has different features that you can use to beautify your video. Learn them one by one and find out which one fits your style and theme!
Every time you use a feature, you can check your video by tapping the Preview button.
Now for the fun part: exploring the editing tools!
Sticker
You certainly can’t resist GIF stickers, can you? Put some on your videos and animate them. Yes, you can direct the stickers’ movements yourself!
- Tap the “Sticker” button.

GIPHY also has a lot of your favorite GIFs in store! Just select and tap on a sticker, or search for specific GIF stickers that will fit your theme.
- Animate your sticker’s movement by tapping the Record button.
- PicsArt Video will teach you how to animate your sticker. Tap “Got it” to proceed.
- Press and hold your sticker and trace on the direction that you want it to go to.
- You may move up and down and sideways. Drag your sticker anywhere you want!
- Tap the Play button to watch your sticker move from one point to another while your video is playing.
- Below your video, you can choose the sticker’s playback speed while tracing. You will see how the sticker adds a fun vibe to your video! And you can use more than one, too.
- When you’re already satisfied with your moving stickers, tap “Apply”.
Music
You have been thinking of that one song while you were recording videos, haven’t you? Use your favorite songs as the soundtrack of your own short movie!
- Tap the “Music” button.
- Select and tap a song.
- Choose which part of the song will start playing along with your video by holding and dragging the Time Frame.
- After finding the perfect timing of the song with your video, hit “Apply”.
Action
Stickers? Check. Music? Check! Now, put some extra action to your video!
- Tap the “Action” button.
- You will find different actions that you may apply to your video. After choosing, just press and hold.
- OPTIONS: Echo, Shake, Bounce, Color Wash, Bass, Vertigo, Strobe, Flash, Rave, Pixelate, Reflection, Mirror, Pool, Glow, Streak, Fisheye, Warp
- Then release the action button if you want to end its effect on your video. You may also use more than one action for your entire video!
- After putting all the actions you want on your video, hit “Apply”.
Trim
You might still find some scenes that you want to cut off from your project. If so, you can simply trim your video and keep all the necessary moments.
- Tap the “Trim” button.
- Select and tap on a time frame.
- Hold and drag the sliders to trim specific scenes.
- The parts you will delete will be highlighted.
- Hit “Apply” to trim your video!
Crop
Is something still missing from your video? Chances are it’s the video size! Check out the crop feature and do some final touch-ups.
- Tap the “Crop” button.
- Select and tap a size.
- Tap the Resize button if you want to crop your video, or if you want to keep the original size with black frames.
- Tap the Rotate buttons to rotate the video to the left or to the right.
- After cropping, tap “Apply”.
Are you done editing your video? Save your project and have it ready for sharing!
- Hit the Next button.
- Press “Save”.
- You have saved your video!
- Share your work with your friends online! Select “Instagram”.
- You may also post your video on other SNS.
- Choose where to post your video.
